Portfolio > 2016

A continuation of the previous 2 "Accretion" pieces, this piece explores the parasitic relationship between abandoned spaces and regrowth of nature as reclamation. The resin drips and runs over the sculpture to create a cascade of dripping forms. The work was created and left outside in the Vegas sun to weather. This process rapidly ages and mutes the colors of the work. The process of fading replicates the effects of time on a structure.
